Refer a Circle Leader

If you want to recommend someone to be a prospective Circle Leader – or if you would like to be a Circle Leader yourself – please contact us and we will get you an application right away.

Qualifications are:

  • the potential Circle Leader must be struggling financially (making less than 185% of Federal Poverty Guidelines – see below);
  • relatively stable (clean and sober, no untreated serious mental illness); and
  • ready and willing to do the hard work of creating a new path toward a stable and secure life.

The class meets once a week for 18 weeks, investigating the many factors involved in poverty as well as strategies for getting ahead, rather than just getting by. At the end of the training, Circle Leaders will be matched with 2 to 3 Allies – volunteers willing to provide support for a minimum of 18 months after the end of training.

Download the Referral Form.  Complete and return to the Circles Coordinator.  This application may also be obtained in a Word document or as a paper copy by contacting the Volunteer Manager.
